We invited the public to take part in our 2nd Annual themed event. No purchase was necessary, we only encouraged non-perishable items for the local food bank. This year our event theme was Peter Pan, a little different from last year’s Pirate theme. We expected to see Wendy, Peter, the Lost Boys or even Captain Hook and Smee and hand out some fantastic prizes and we sure did!
Again it began with our Sunshine staff dressing up… and lead to a fun-filled weekend as clients showed up in full garb! We met Peter, several of them! We met Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, a mermaid and Tiger Lily the kidnapped Indian girl! We saw amazing creativity among our guests. Guests use material found nearby and made use of all kinds of materials that we use every day such as tinfoil and electrical tape to create their costumes and scenery – very imaginative indeed!
After all that was said and done we had such a difficult time picking winners because everyone who participated did such a great job.
